Sharon Williams: 1/5 Stars 15/06/2018 14 day return policy Matalan has changed their return policy from 28 to 14 days. I was not informed of this when I purchased goods for my elderly mother, the goods I purchased were not suitable and needed to be returned, unfortunately I was away for a period of three weeks on business and because my mother is house bound and has early on set dementia she failed to tell me they where unsuitable. I returned said good to the High Wycombe branch and was refused my money back, due to this new 14 day policy. Most retailers maintain a 28 day returns policy so I’m not understanding why Matalan have reduced this. Many thanks Matalan has not yet responded. Anna Hudson: 1/5 Stars 27/04/2018 Havent had my refund for 170 pounds I phoned matalan monday 19th of april 2018 for a refund of 170 pounds i ordered clothes for my kids and because order took so long i needed the clothes so asked for refund and went to store and bought the clothes cash i am now in a mess have no money its now 27th april and still waiting keep saying it will br in today all week they have said this i have had to take my 6 kuds to stay at a friends cause i have no money dont know what to do am soo upset havent stopped crying Matalan has not yet responded READ MORE: Shopping Guides & Tips | How to Avoid Scams & Online Shopping Problems |

Karen Saunders: 1/5 Stars 27/03/2018 Lighting dept in matalan My daughter and I visited Matalan in Biggleswade and she found some lights for her lounge. The display has numbers hanging from them and there is a message on the display saying 'make a note of the item number, go to the till where someone will locate your lights' simple we thought. This is not the case at all. We went to the till, armed with the numbers we wanted. The lady on till had no idea what to do. She was told to go out the back where the lights should be numbered. We waited.... and waited.....at last she came back but empty handed. She said 'unfortunately the numbers hanging from the lights no longer correlates to the lights themselves and could we please go back upstairs get the colour, the design number etc etc, come back downstairs and pay' we politely said NO This is a ridiculous waste of everyone's time and clearly the instructions to the customer don't work. I bet their sales of lighting are extremely low. Please re-train your staff and make your instructions simple Thank you Matalan has not yet responded. Susan Hook: 1/5 Stars 25/04/2017 No changing rooms available during the week My husband and I traveled to cowley centre Matalan to buy a suit for my son's wedding, our visit was on Monday 24th April and involved a 8 mile journey purely to visit that store. Having selected several items to try on my husband went to the male changing room. It was closed. I went to see a shop assistant for helping thinking that perhaps there was another changing room available on the ground floor. The assistant I spoke to was unhelpful and sarcastic. I asked him if he worked there, he replied ' sometimes ' so I asked if he was working today, he replied I might be' and so the conversation continued. Eventually I explained about my husband wanting to try some suit trousers on, he told me that they had just received a directive from head office that no changing rooms were to be opened. I asked him how was a customer supposed to try items on, he shrugged his shoulders. After an un helpful conversation he did say that he thought the changing rooms were only shut during the week and would possibly be open st the weekend. Needless to say we left the shop without purchasing anything and will not return at the weekend as we can not be sure that the changing rooms would be open then. Niven Woodrow: 1/5 Stars 01/04/2016 The manager of Matalan The mananger of the store take the shoes off me and sent them off to cheack if I was damaging the shoes ,The shoes come under stuch from the heel, But I had 3 pair of shoes form you and all the shoes what in 40 days and had holes in then after a 30 days so I sent back to the shop and each time I had the same problem of ware of the soleon the left shoes but not the right side is ok it is it is wear to quickly on one sideSO SENT THE BACK if you had a pair of shoes that wear down in 30 days you wil feel bit upset after sending back 3 pair shoes in 4 month and the last pair is just split at the botten of the sole near seal I am asking you get in touch with soon by email .
