Your Sports Direct Reviews
Mrs. D. Gilroy: 1/5 Stars 20/09/2016 Credit note expired. There is nothing on the credit note or in store to say there is an expiry date so it is nonsense. Do you have an ADR with trading standards to resolve this issue. ? SportsDirect.com has not yet responded. Jamie Palmer: 1/5 Stars 05/09/2018 Item that has still not arrived 3 months on So it was the beginning of June and I was preparing for England's World Cup journey from Stockholm Sweden where I am based. I got on the Internet and needed a Brand New England Kit personalised with my Name and Number on of course, I made the purchase on the 12th June for 78 UK Pounds. weeks go by still no sign of my kit. it was the Quarter final and I was so frustrating about not having my awesome new kit to go to the pub in so i contacted Sports Direct they informed me it was Post Nord who failed to deliver the product. I then contacted Post Nord and they informed me the real reason they could not deliver the item was because it had no details on at all a blank parcel ??? unbelievable so i went back to sports direct they said they will rectify this and get this sent to me again. so by then i lost complete interest in this as we where knocked out by Crotia and demanded a full refund as it was over a month and half no item they informed me they cannot due to the item being personalised so I said ok just deliver the item asap. they then used DHL to deliver the item to me a month goes by still no sign of my parcel but I do have a leaflet come through saying we will call you when your parcel is ready to be delivered however this was not the case. dhl could not deliver the parcel because Sports Direct did not put my mobile number on the delivery statement !!!! its a huge mess and with the item being sent back to sports direct i cannot believe how i have been treated. Fiona O’hara: 1/5 Stars 19/03/2017 Expired Credit I had a credit note from sports direct that has faded eventually a store lady (on a less busy day) found details using the attached receipt details - only to tell me it had expired. Surely it is still my money? Ironically in the intervening time I have spent £100s of pounds (2 sporty boys) at sports direct. Very cross! SportsDirect.com has not yet responded. Lillian: 1/5 Stars 06/05/2016 Return of goods I purchased a pair of Sketchers shoes from Shoe Direct on April 21 2016 and when they arrived too big for me even though the shoes were my size so I telephoned the Head Office spoke to a young woman called Abby and I had explained that I need smaller size but cannot go out just had major surgery so she said that she can get a courier to attend my home to collect them however the courier who was supposed to attend my home on Monday April 25 2016 and the courier from YODEL said that he collected the parcel when he did not and then I had to speak to the Manager Rebecca Simpson and she told me the same thing so I said I can assure you I have the parcel with me. The Manager then rearranged even though she said the cannot keep doing this and a Courier was supposed to attend my home on Wednesday April 27 2016 and they did not so I said she will have to speak to the YODEL Manager and after she did YODEL got the courier to attend my property on April 28 2016 and he gave me a receipt however the problem now is the Manager who I emailed on May 5 2016 is informing me that they have not received the parcel and I sent her another email after she did not respond to my first email yesterday today on May 6 2016 and she said I would have to send the receipt which I will not because the information that I had sent the Manager by email is on the card which had been evidence that the courier had collected the parcel. I tried to telephone and speak to Rebecca who is the Manager but she is busy and told one of the Advisors she is sorting it out and speaking to YODEL and I sent the Manager an email and said if she does not respond to my email or telephone me then I will take the matter further because I am a disabled person who as recently had a major surgery and this company is giving me the run around and fobbing me off and I have had enough now. Story by Nic McBride 18/05/2018 Victory! A Spokesman Said gets Sports Direct to refund customer after it lost his parcel After being fobbed off by Sports Direct for five months, a customer has finally received a £141 refund for a parcel that never arrived Mike Lorimer, formerly of Newcastle who now lives in Antibes, north of Cannes, in France, ordered a Calloway golf bag, on January 3. On January 8, his bag was ‘delivered’ by courier company Colissimo – or at least that’s what Mike was told. "They claim they left the package at my front door. It was not. I was at home all day that day." Sports Direct didn't want to know about Mike’s problem until A Spokesman Said got on their case. What happened: When his parcel didn't arrive, Mike got in touch with Sports Direct. "Despite several emails back and forward to Sports Direct they claim it is not their fault but the fault of the courier. "The courier say it is Sports Direct's problem. "Each party have avoided the issue fobbing me off each time. "I placed this order in good faith with Sports Direct and am very disappointed in both these organisations." "Sports Direct said I had received it but produced no evidence. "Coincidently, I received a parcel from Colissimo today and had to sign for it, they did not produce a signature for the one that was not delivered." After five months of getting nowhere, Mike came to A Spokesman Said for help. Sports Direct then decided to get its act together and refund Mike. Needless to say, he was over the moon. "Many thanks Nic, you are a superstar. Wonderful result, thanks." Check out our advice below in case you find yourself in a similar position. What to do if your goods don't arrive in the mail Under the Consumer Rights Act, it is the retailer is responsible for making sure goods are delivered to you, or someone appointed by you. This means that retailers are liable for what happens when your goods are being delivered - the delivery firm is not liable. If your goods aren’t delivered, you should go straight to the retailer. Ask them what proof they have from the courier that your package was actually delivered. Ask for a refund You can ask for your money back if you don’t receive the item within 30 days of buying it. If the company refuse to refund you, make a complaint in writing – or follow the company’s complaints procedure if they have one. If you still can’t get a refund Contact the company’s trade association - look on their website for this information, or contact them to ask. Tell A Spokesman Said. Use the power of publicity to highlight your case. Try your bank If you paid by debit card: contact your bank and say you want to use the ‘chargeback scheme’. If you paid by credit card you have two options: * If your item cost less than £100, say you want to use the ‘chargeback scheme’. * If your item cost more than £100 - but less than £30,000 say that you want to make a claim under section 75.
