Your Vision Express Reviews
Chris Marshall: 4/5 Stars 02/10/2019 Aftercare Been going to my local vision express for years...contact lens/specs. Today I took my 3 month old specs in for alteration only to be told it's at my own risk! I didn't take out insurance this time cos it's so expensive. In all the years I've been to VE I've never had this said to me. There's nothing in shop to say aftercare was at my own risk, especially as they are new specs. Can't find T&Cs anywhere about aftercare..very confused MR R J WILLIAMS: 1/5 Stars 20/09/2015 Optician fails to spot detached retina On the 6th of August 2015, I visited vision express in Hereford because I was getting flashes of light in my right eye.my first thought was detached retina. The staff at the opticians tested my vision and the results were recorded.I was told that I had a floater in my eye and that I did not have a detached retina.I was told that I had a massive floater in my eye and was given a leaflet and told to make another appointment if it got worse.Well guess what it got worse and I contacted the opticians again for another appointment on the 13th of August 2015.On that visit the same optician told me that There was a detached retina.I then had to visit Hereford hospital where I had to have an emergency operation to repair the detached retina. Vision Express failed to resolve this complaint. READ MORE: Shopping Guides & Tips | How to Avoid Scams & Online Shopping Problems |

Ben Allen: 1/5 Stars 28/06/2015 Paid £240 for glasses and they couldn't be bothered to keep me updated as to their status I ordered some glasses from Vision Express. £240 + cost of eye test. Plus paid for contact lens test & signed up to contact lens direct debit. 2 weeks later, not heard a thing about glasses. Called up. Employee promised a return call to update. Heard nothing still. Called up on week 3 to complain. Employee promised guaranteed call by following Monday. Monday arrived. Nothing. Called on Wednesday. Employee had glasses in store. Contact lenses should have been mailed out too. Nothing arrived in mail. Finally went into store to collect glasses. Employee had to go looking for them. After 10 mins, glasses found. Lenses there too. Asked for glasses case. Out of stock. Wouldn't promise it would be posted out. I would have to chase it up - despite shelling out over £275 so far. Cancelled lens direct debit that day. Complained on Twitter. Received immediate DM from Vision Express promising assistance. Still waiting...! What a surprise. Vision Express has not yet responded.
