overcharged on insurance

Complaint against Firefly Car Rental

On picking up the vehicle late at night after travelling most of the day i signed for the vehicle as one would expect to do (the car had been booked through Rentalcars.com and the hire charge and insurance had been paid in full) I was very satified with the hire and dropped of the car no problems i only did about 150 miles.On returning to Spain a few days later i checked on line to do some banking and noticed Hertz had taken £240-60p from my account. On making enquiries i have been told that in signing for the car i had agreed to take more insurance (This was not explained to me when signing at the desk when picking up the car) Had i been told of this i obviously would not have signed for more insurance. I think this is a disgrace that large companies do this sort of trick on customers when arriving late and tired and just want to get home, and of course it then takes time and effort to do anything about it.
