Carly's complaint against Citroën
Suspension not fit for purpose!
Complaint against Citroen
Our Grand Picasso Exclusive (2012 reg) developed the well documented pneumatic suspension airbag failure at 37,000 miles. After our car being in the garage for 8 days (not ideal with 3 kids) Citroen finally agreed to meet 80% costs as agreed in the watchdog report July 2014, which left us with £75 to pay. The suspension air bags are well documented to fail and when they do so they put the compressor under additional pressure which then fails (£1000) despite me raising concerns about the compressor they said it was just the air bags. low and behold the compressor fails! Citroen offer an 80% good will gesture which still leaves £230 to pay. My complaint is that if the air bags were fit for purpose then a) they wouldn't have failed in the first place and 2) they wouldn't have had the knock on effect of the compressor failing. 80% is not a good will gesture, Citroen need to admit the pneumatic suspension on the C4 exclusive mark 1 is not fit for purpose and take responsibility for rectifying the failure to do what it was sold to do. I was told Friday that the compressor likely failed because of the new air bags......this is even more ludicrous! old or new, the air bags should do what they are sold to do....any they don't! I was left for a second weekend without a car and 3 children who had plans.
