I hired a car to be picked up at Ibiza airport on May 2. All of my credit card were near credit limit so I paid an extra £48 pounds or platinum extra insurance for 7 days so I wouldn’t have to leave £1100 deposit.Upon arrival at 11pm I was told by a English Goldcar representative the unless I left £1100 deposit I wouldn’t get a vehicle despite having all necessary paperwork and insurance policy.They stated as I hadn’t booked insurance through them it was invalid. This caused extreme stress , limiting what we could do on holiday and we incurred £250 taxi bills as we were in far North of island. I notice there is no way of contacting them directly or any phone number.
