Complaint against Goldcar

Hi, I booked a hire car with Goldcar (through holiday autos). When I arrived at the collection desk, I explained to the gentleman that I had purchased insurance separately (with AXA) and therefore did not need any further cover. He said that was fine and that the payment to be made was for an additioanl driver, which I had adding onto the booking (23.14 Euros) and the rest was a deposit and fuel which would be refunded. However, upon return only a proportion of the money paid was returned and after having the invoice translated, it appeared I had been charged 85.08 Euros for additional insurance (78.47 Cobertura Super and 6.61 Mega Relax Cover). I should be grateful if this issue could be resolved. I have already tried to complain through Holiday Autos however, this has been unsuccessful. Regards James

Hi James, Our clients have two options of coverage among which to choose a method of coverage (it is mandatory to choose one coverage option). You can select our Super Relax coverage or to leave a deposit that starts from € 1100. In your case, as you had a third party insurance, you had to leave the deposit.
