Complaint against Goldcar

I recently had a car hire reserved with you at Porto airport on 26th July for pickup at 12.20pm, this was booked through Ryanair, via Cartrawler. Unfortunately our plane was delayed and by the time we arrive at your Porto airport rental office, we were told that the booking had been cancelled, without refund, as a no show. Rebooking the same car with you was hugely expensive and no one in your office was interested in helping us, which considering we had a 9 and 12 year old with us, crying, was a big surprise. I in the event had to book another car with one of your competitors and a large cost (£700) but not as much as Goldcar were asking. Firstly the fact that you cancelled my booking without any refund (you took the entire payment) and secondly to not offer any reasonable alternative, I believe is shameful and unacceptable. Your staff, I also have to say were extremely uncaring. I want to know what Goldcar propose, before I take this further to the press and/or regulatory bodies.
