[LAPSED] Charge for damage to car that was not my fault

Complaint against Goldcar

I have been charged for damage to a car a rented last week 14/6 to 21/6 from Palma Airport Majorca. I completely deny this damage was caused by myself and request a refund of the 200 euros that has been charged to my card. The car itself had previous damage and it is impossible to suggest that this damage was caused when I rented the car. I have used your service multiple times and never had any issue. Contract is 11163953

Hi Paul, Was this damage there at the pick up? Please understand that all the damages are marked on the check out sheet. When returning the car, we compare this sheet with the actual state of the car. In case a new damage is found we must charge the customer as we understand it happened during his/her rental.
