[LAPSED] Charged 350 Euros because of damages as scratches

Complaint against Goldcar

We picked up the car at 22.30 on the 31.10.17. They charged us extra 40 Euros for late pickup. We normally use the car instead of a taxi from airport to our house in Sa Rapita and return without using the car around as we have a Audi cabrio to be used during the stay as usual! As G9ldcar can see on the milage the car is only used from the house and back to airport! We have never after used Goldcar for about 15 years have been charged for any accidents ever! At this rental started the 31.10 to 7.11 we did only use the car to and from airport with no scratches on the car. They charged us 350 Euros for scratches and we try to cla8m, but it is not possible to reply by mail as they do not accept replies! We have therefore decided to end rental with Goldcar and we would recommend others to do the same. They do not seems to be liable anymore. Hi Erik, our agents will always give customers a check out sheet to mark all the damages on the vehicle. Once the vehicle is returned, if there is a damage that is not marked on the sheet, it is considered to have been done during the rent period and therefore, our agents proceed to charge. Thank you.
