Complaint against Goldcar

I arrived at Palma Airport, Mallorca, on 3rd September. I had pre-booked a car through the Ryanair website and went to collect my keys when I arrived. I went to one of their three counters inside the arrivals terminal. I was sent from there a second counter on the other side of the arrivals gate, who then sent me to a third desk elsewhere in the airport. After a 20 minute wait I was given the keys to my hire vehicle (1287 JYN) and asked to pay a deposit that included fuel of 369.91Euros. I did not realise, nor was it explained to me, that this figure included extra insurance. I had already paid an insurance premium when I booked the vehicle. I only discovered this upon my return home when I received a mere 63Euros refund. In addition when we booked the vehicle hire I had included my partner as a second driver – this added more to the cost of vehicle hire. She forgot to bring her driving licence with which meant that she could not drive the car – no refund for this was offered. I feel that I have been robbed. I want to see the full amount returned to me – plus the cost of the over charge for my partner!

Disingenuous in the extreme! 1) Your agents did not explain this to me 2) I was told that the deposit was 'in case of damage' 3) I saw no documentation and was only asked to sign on an electronic screen
