[RESPONDED] Unfair 'Invented' damage charges

Complaint against Goldcar

On April 8th following a 13 day car hire, we were charged (not entirely sure how much as no receipt received and amount changed 3 times by the employee) between 140-200 Euros for a small surface scratch on the bumper of our hire car which the employee admitted could easily be polished out. First she said you don't charge for scratches and then she called it a "dent". There was absolutely no dent there. She basically invented the damage and was very brusque and rude to us. She kept us waiting over an hour as " the system was not connecting for her to decide on the fine cost ". Thus delay meant we would miss our flight so we had no choice but to pay up and get moving. There is much more to tell. I will take this to the highest level to resolve as this was terribly unfair."
