Complaint against Goldcar
I rented from Gold Car at Barcelona Airport on the 21st November (just for two days). I returned the rental car perfectly on time and all seemed well. We are now well into December, I'm still waiting on.the deposit money (excess of 1400 euros). Upon calling Gold Car, they mentioned there was a 'problem on the system' and my deposit has not been issued. Why do I have to chase this company and do their work for them? Why won't they repay the deposit and why was there a problem in the first place. My theory is, this company use the huge (unreasonable) deposits to gain interest in the funds in the bank. Avoid this company if you can, very very poor level of service. I'm not 100% sure they will refund before Christmas and the New Year, either way I'll be contacting my bank to ensure they take action, we need to shed light on this company, they are ripping off honest customers.
