Complaint about Bensons for Beds

After having an independent company assess the defect it was deemed necessary to have the bed replaced under the guarantee. We later received a call informing us that our bed colour had been discontinued and that we should visit a store to choose a new colour. This then became an issue as the bed base and headboard would no longer be matching. Customer services spproved a whole new bed so the new colour was chosen.....Sea Blue Velvet. We received another call letting us know that the new colour was in a different material and would incur a charge of £100 to have the new bed made. We were advised thst if we wanted to have the bed in similar material to go in store and choose from Band A fabric. Another trip to the store revealed only 3 colouts available in Band A....none of which would fit in with our current decor and fabrics in the bedroom. The original cost of the bed was £1,650 and not our fault there was a manufacturing defect and now a colour discontinuation and the bed only just over a year old.

They eventually agreed on a replacement at no extra cost
