I got an email today from Admiral Insurance who I have my car insurance with letting me know they would be adding£75 to my car insurance because my named driver (who very very rarely will drive my car to collect me) claimed when someone hit him from behind at a roundabout in July 2015. This was in his own car on his own policy. It was not his fault the man behind wasn't paying attention, and Simon asked if they man would like to settle away from the insurance companies - which the man declined to do. I am furious that non fault drivers are being punished as well as those drivers who have made a mistake on the road. The insurance companies are ripping off anyone they possibly can, and charging wherever they possibly can and it's not ok.
