Complaint about Bovis Homes

Bovis Homes think it's acceptable to discriminate against disabled people. Bovis took away disabled access to our house 6 months ago by replacing a drop curb on the pavement with a raised curb (my brother is in a wheelchair) the pavement is also too narrow to fit the wheelchair on so he can't get access to our house through the front of the property. They have lied to us saying that they have plans to add disabled access my raising the road level with our front path, when in actual fact they never did and are now refusing to provide the adequate disabled access despite it being a legal obligation under the disability discrimination act and new build regulations. They've told us to use our patio doors at the back of the house for access, but they are 20cm off the floor and impossible to get a wheelchair up! It's not just our house in the estate that doesn't have the required legal disabled access, yet Bovis don't seem to care about this at all or the fact that they've broken build regulations. We moved into the property 18 months ago and we've had 18 months of hell that's still not over, we were pushed to move in to the house by Bovis despite the house not being ready to move in to, we had over 400 snags many of which are still not complete and those that are we've had to fight to get complete and have received the worst customer service along the way, usually being lied to get us off their backs or completely ignored. There are no regulations around the customer service that home builders provide, meaning they will go out of their way to not complete your house to the standard you've paid for by making it extremely difficult for customers to get resolutions to their problems. How in this day and age are home builders allowed to get away with treating customers like this, when it's the biggest purchase of your life! You have more rights when you buy a toaster. Something needs to change to stop this type of discrimination and treatment.
