Complaint about Vodafone

I cancelled my contract with them on the 24th August 2015 and was told it was 30 days notice to cancel in June this year I had a letter from a debt agency telling me I owed vodafone money thinking I was in the wrong i paid it only to find in July they tried charging me again and I notice on my credit check I have late payments in this year so they have made me get a bad credit score for not cancelling me of there network advice would be appreciated
