Complaint about Gourmet Society

I took out a 3 month £1 trial and only used it once because it didn't really provide me with the restaurant choice that i thought it would. I assumed (incorrectly) that a trial period would automatically cancel at the end. Oh No....I have had my membership automatically renewed and even though i contacted them immediately I saw the subscription hit my account they have refused to cancel the membership and refund my money. I have pursued this for weeks and have been stone-walled and then finally I asked for the managing director's name and address and was told that he doesn't deal with complaints and that any correspondence would just come back to Customer Service. I am disgusted with their behaviour and can only assume that they must be in financial difficulty to have to hold onto unwanted subscriptions.
