Complaint about Currys PC World

I purchased a laptop from Currys PC world in January 2011. I have noticed that a monthly debit is being taken on my card from product support. I was not advised at the time and I definately did not accept any support as I work in IT so was able to support my laptop anyway. the only thing I was told was it was under warranty for a year. Unfortunately you have retained card details without consent so I respectfully ask that you refund all the money, stop the payments and confirm when this has been done. I will be reporting this to the Office of Fair Trading initally. Also, you have contravened banking law by retaining a persons card details without their consent.

Hi Debbie, The support agreement is a monthly payment that offers protection against mechanical breakdown and 'mishaps'. The payment will automatically renew for as long as you wish to receive the benefits and appear on each of your bank statements. On receipt of your home address I can ensure the service is cancelled and no further payments requested. Richard
