Complaint about Credit Portal

Over the past three months, Credit Portal have debited my account for £19.95 on 20 occasions. They were very clever and took the money on different days of the month so as not to attract attention. I only noticed when the took three payments on the same day. I spoke to Amy on the phone who seemed perfectly aware that people are having multiple charges against their accounts. She said that I would be refunded the whole amount because it was a "glitch." She said that this would take ten days to process. I could provide exact dates and times of each transaction so a refund should be immediate. I spoke with Santander branch in Rugby and they said they could not cancel the card payment without changing my account number. They were less than helpful. It seems that Banks must respond to the cancellation of CPAs on the written request of the account holder.
