Complaint about Xercise4Less

I tried to cancel my membership on-line but must have been unsuccessful as I then received a letter from Harlands demanding £39.99. I called them on 29 February and paid the amount and again cancelled on line and thought that was the end of the matter. I continued to receive demands from Harlands and so I wrote to them to explain I had paid up and cancelled enclosing a copy of the transaction on my bank statement and was referred to Xercise 4 Less. I called in to speak to them and was told to cancel again on line as it hadn't been cancelled. I tried again and got an email saying I couldn't cancel it because I owed money. I wrote to the manager at the gym and sent a copy to their head office a week ago explaining the situation and have not received a reply but have now I have received a demand from Credit Resolution Services demanding I pay £119.97, please can you help me?
