Another X4L

Complaint about Xercise4Less

So I took out a gym membership with X4L a while ago and decided that it was a pretty big rip off. I got my 12 month membership frozen for free as I'm a student and was told that it would be cancelled after that as I was moving back home for summer & I was injured anyway and receiving NHS physio so was unable to train (have proof). I recieved a few messages stating that I was in default and needed to contact them to resolve my "outstanding balance". I tried to contact them about 3/4 times and left a message each time as there was no answer at their head office. I never received a reply and have just received a later stating that "credit resolution services" require £160 plus their £100 fee. I think this is ridiculous seeing as I tried to contact them before and was told by a member of staff that my membership would be cancelled. I plan to ring them on monday and find out more details, just wanted to know if anyone else has had an experience like this and have any advice? Thanks for any advice
