Complaint about TalkTalk

Both phone and internet were not working. Having spent many hours on the phone during the course of the last two weeks a BT openreach engineer attended my property on Wednesday 28th September 2016. He insisted on changing the router despite saying he was only there for the telephone line because that is all Talk Talk instructed. I telephoned talk talk and insisted that there was an internet problem which needed openreach as that was what the engineer had told me. Instead I was told a talk talk engineer would come out. Subsequently by talking to a friend who works in Openreach i understand talk talk were testing the telephone line and not performing the OGEA test which would have immediately revealed the problem. I understand that the DSL port is de-activated. I explained I should be on a fibre network however the fastest speed achievable under talk talk was 1.27 when under BT we had a speed of 6.87. I explained that I have severe disabilities and therefore work from home. I have suffered a £100.00 cancelation fee from notbeing able to keep an appointment with a website specialist. The extremely lengthy phone calls with talk talk over the last 3 days have proved to be totally useless as I had to find the problem namely the OGEA test. I am prepared to take this to the press and my local MP if I do not have internet by Monday. How do I know that the fibre was not disconnected to make the phone line work? I am extremely unhappy about the terrible service I have received from Talk Talk
