Very loyal customer but recent upgrade let me down

Complaint about Vodafone

I've been with Vodafone for over decades and always been looked after but recently upgrade my contract on 11th September and was told I'll get it on 16th September if not the following week for definite. Unfortunately it did not arrive and still waiting I've tried calling Vodafone several times and the only answer I get is out of stock there is nothing they could do also been told doesn't really matter if I've placed an preorder still going to take time so pure service not even a sorry or a compensation for waiting how sad is that now i Just wished I didn't upgrade but for sure I'll be telling all my family and friends who are with Vodafone what's exactly happened to my experience with Vodafone so they don't face this problem.
