Complaint about Virgin Media

Two weeks ago my wife and myself moved home and asked Virgin to install tv, phone and internet at our new address. We have been with Virgin since they were Blueyonder and have never had any complaint with them. Since we moved, however, the phone has not worked correctly, having a very noisy connection. An engineer came out around a week ago, added a couple of pieces of wire to the cable and left. Since then, the phone has been even worse, with an almost overpowering crackling on the line... and so I dialled Virgin again - not receiving the option to speak to anyone - everything having to be done by pressing buttons. I booked another engineer to come out and he was supposed to come this morning, between 8 and 12 o'clock, according to a text message from Virgin. He hasn't shown up and it is now almost 1.45pm, so again we are without a proper phone line. I am disabled and so is my wife and the phone is our lifeline. My wife is not a happy bunny, so could you please get some action for us? I assume your service is free. Thank you so much, Mr. B Fletcher ps Today's appointment has now been cancelled (by text) and it seems that no-one gives a monkeys about it.
