Persistently misdeliver packets and leave them in my porch, despite numerous requests not to do so.

Complaint about Royal Mail

Over years I have had the same problem with deliveries, usually of sensitive medicines or vitamin supplements., whereby packets are left in my porch, which is not weatherproof or secure. I do not want items just dumped there by the postman. I have complained often over the years, but no real response at all. For the last year or two they have, as they should do, posted me a card saying I can pick up the packet myself from the sorting office (which I usually do). But this week we are back to the old pattern of a packet being left in the porch. On one past occasion they left medicines out in the sun for a week or more while I was away on holiday. They had to pay to replace the contents of the packet, which were compromised by being in the sunshine. It was also in full view of the street and constituted a security issue while I was away. The local office said once years ago, that they would make a note of special conditions for deliveries to my address, but this is not want is needed. I pointed to them many times that they need to deliver the mail properly each time - I am not a special case - they just need to deliver properly..
