Complaint about National Holidays

On arrival at the trecarn hotel waited on coach for a member of staff to greet us and give us hotel information there was no disabled access at the front of the hotel my father who is disabled had trouble entering the hotel we made several phone calls to the hotel requesting refurbished rooms after reading reviews. When checking in I asked if our rooms were the refurbished ones the reply was she didn't know! On entering my father's room 242 narrow room not fit for anyone wallpaper hanging off the wall on to the bed shower and toilet disgusting complained at reception said the hotel was full after much arguing they offered a room on the second floor which my brother would take and my disabled father would take his this being room 7 this room was also small very difficult to move around having to move bed to get in to the bathroom no telephone no drawers and no window which is illegal unless it is a listed building I am sure the trecarn is not The radiator in this room had the pipes hanging loose my room 238 the toilet seat was totally worn and looked as though it had not been cleaned looking out of the window cardboard outside never removed and empty beer glass on the window sill lampshade dropping to bits and hairdryer only blew cold air no shower had to use my father's room to wash my hair the dining room great big rolls of carpet stored had to struggle through the crowds of people waiting for food to get to our rooms dirty cutlery and crockery no salads or cheese and biscuits as clients in the rainbow hotel informed us the full day to Plymouth on the coach did not leave the hotel until 12noon due to the drivers hours is it not time national had spare drivers to combat this situation the website photographs are not a true reflection of the hotel I suggest that the trading standards and the health and safety plus the environment health need to visit this hotel as it should be closed no one informed us about any refurbishment taking place I look forward to a reply as no body was concerned about our complaints in the hotel and feel we need reimbursement for such a terrible holiday our tour number is 5577w14torquay special all inclusive 3 october
