Complaint about Currys PC World

On the 26th December I placed a telephone order for an LG Oled curved 65" TV, an LG 49" UHD TV, a new black curved TV stand, and set up and installation. The LG curved sound bar wasn't in stock and I was advised if I bought it elsewhere as long as it was available on the date of installation it would be part of the set up and installation service, great so far. Agreed delivery date was 2nd January. 2nd January and delivery of 2 TVs no stand so the installation and set up only partially complete, advised full service and stand on Friday 6th. Then wrong colour stand despatched. 8-10 telephone calls later delivery arranged Friday 20th. Delivery arrives 7:45pm but delivery staff not authorised to install. I refused delivery as further large boxes in my dining room aren't acceptable. I only spent £4000 with Currys!!!! Customer services complaints manager REFUSED to speak with me as I wanted a guaranteed new delivery date and £400 compensation. The new 65" TV is currently on a small stand as installed by Curry's, I wasn't given a demo the cables aren't secured and the new TV stand was cancelled. This is clearly unacceptable service and A Breach of Contract. I advised Currys I want to reject the TV that isn't installed correctly and as ordered and that after a month I still haven't got what I paid for (the contract). Management REFUSE to discuss this and therefore I have no choice but to commence legal action! What a sad state of affairs not rectifying things after numerous mistakes. Currys are terrible for service and they avoid you when they are wrong. What an organisation where Managers REFUSE to speak with a customer !

After various poor email correspondences exchanges with a member of I then had a manager contact me (Lloyd) and he was excellent and had a totally different attitude as well as a great manner and more importantly experience and authority to deal with mt complaint. Lloyd went above and beyond to resolve the issue and did so effectively. He did a great job and should be promoted. Faith restored.

Great final response by Lloyd who went "above and beyond" to resolve the situation. Great job and I only wish all the staff were as knowledgeable and effective as he was. Great result for myself and for Curry's; they have resolved the issue and will retain me as a customer. I hope Lloyd uses my case as a reference one, and is given the recognition internally that he deserves.
