Complaint about DPD

I am very disappointed. I was given a collection time between 1-2pm. I sat in the room nearest the front door so I could see when the driver would arrive (and assumed he/she would see me too). My husband then receives an e-mail to say they have been. I have taken the day off work. I explained this to the lady when I called to say what had happened. She told me that the driver is refusing to come back. My car was in the drive. It was fairly obvious that someone was home! Poor service. Why am I being inconvenienced?
