Complaint about Britannia Hotels
Arrived sat 28 Jan..on your mystery trip. Booked in about 4.0..4.30...went up to room..OK. no probs...went to bar next to restaurant for a drink...most of tables full of empty glasses and plates etc..not cleared away..Mealtime at 6.15..a complete nightmare.!!it took us nearly 40 minutes queuing to be shown to our tables... then nearly 30 minutes to queue to get to food counter.. The FEW young staff on duty were doing their best...but we're definitely understaffed. The food is good...rooms clean and warm...but if you want to sit down and have a drink after your meal...you'll be extremely lucky...There was nowhere to sit at all...as it was the only longe and bar open.Was a bar and lounge downstairs ...but it was closed...no drinks..no tea or coffee ...nothing.!! Conclusion...up to your room...and make yourself a coffee.! The management know how many people are staying on any one night.. So why only one bar..one lounge..and so short of staff...? Please don't say to me...I only paid £39...what do you expect..!!! Good grub...warm clean rooms..but in my opinion..terribly organized...we have been on quite a few trips with yourselves...and always been happy...and are going with you again in March...but I won't be booking a 2 day with you again...in case I end up at daresbury. I recommend national holidays to anybody...but will never sdvise anyone to stay here. I have sent an email. To the hotel..but as yet..no reply...also have written not a good review on trip advisor.
