Misleading Information regarding subcription

Complaint about Venntro

Urban Socials website offers 1 month, 3 month, 6 month and 12 month subscription options. I signed up for 1 month assuming that after one month my subscription would revert back to the free version. It appears not - Urban social works on an automatic renewal system which is not made clear at all when signing up. My subscription should have run out yesterday 2nd Feb but a payment was taken from my account. I called today (3rd) tried to explain my situation, but was told because I had not cancelled the subscription they wouldn’t offer a refund. The lady I spoke to 'Liberty' didn’t care about my situation at all and just kept saying ' but you are not eligible’ absolutely atrocious customer care.

Automatic renewal should be displayed clearly and not hidden in your T & C's. Whilst Including it in your T & C's covers Venntro for liability it is deemed unfair to your customers. Nearly every complaint about Venntro is for the same reason, yet you are unwilling to change and do anything about it. I have taken up my case with trading standards and the ASA and letting them deal with it.

I cancelled my subscription the day I called (3rd Feb), however I am still receiving emails everyday, but to be honest I'm really not surprised.
