Complaint about Currys PC World

I purchased a £20.00 Steam game gift voucher for my partner's birthday. Unfortunately when he tried to use it he found that it had not been activated by the store. After half an hour on the phone to Curry's customer services (29/12/16) I was told the fastest way to resolve the issue would be to return the gift card and they would refund me. They picked the gift card up the next day. Multiple emails later, I still hadn't heard anything from Curry's regarding my refund. Then on the 02/02/17 I finally received a call from Scott Richards saying that they had lost the gift card, but as I had waited so long and they had a record of picking up the gift card, and it was only £20.00, he would authorise the refund and I would receive it within the next few days. It is now the 09/02/17 and not only have I not received my refund but I also haven't ever received a reply to any of my emails. The funniest thing is, that when I originally rang up to complain that the gift card hadn't been activated, I asked the telephone operator what would happen if the item got misplaced by the person picking it up (after all it's a gift card, it's not particularly big) and he reassured me that items rarely go missing!!! The telephone operator was the one person I dealt with that actually helped, but from the person who didn't activate the card, the customer services person who recorded that they talked to me when they hadn't, the delivery team that lost my returned item, and Scott Richards who said he would sort my refund and didn't; I have had my share of dealing with incompetent people. PLEASE SEND ME MY REFUND - I RETURNED THE ITEM THAT DIDN'T WORK (DUE TO CURRYS' ERROR) A MONTH AND A HALF AGO.
