I recently had a new fridge freezer delivered by know how the delivery company who ripped the vinyl flooring, it is a brand new house and a brand new floor, ok here's the problem, it was my first ever day renting so the property isn't mine, I have a tenancy agreement clearly stating I'm responsible for all damages and have to replace. I phoned currys they assured me they would send an insurance assessor and would replace the vinyl flooring. A week later I was contacted and arranged for the assessor to come to the property, however he wasn't an assurance assessor he was know how delivery company operations manager, he told me we won't replace but can do a repair you won't even see it etc etc, I said no I'm not happy, I would like an insurance assessor to look at the damage properly and offer replacement surely that's what insurance is for, he replied no insurance company would replace the whole floor, I said I would be expected to as it's in my tenancy or I will lose my deposit, no I'm not accepting a cheap repair that isn't even being assessed by an insurance company, no I am not indeed going to be liable for the replacement of my landladys damaged brand new floor. Absolutely disgusted with the deceit I would like a proper evaluation of the damage done by an insurance assessor not a cheap repair offered by the delivery companies operations manager in order to avoid making a claim and no I will not settle for anything less as I need to be negated for the damage in legal terms

Hi Georgina - thanks for getting back to us. I'm really sorry to hear of the damage to your property. I can see that we do have an existing Property Damage case on our system (reference CC3297855). I note that a voicemail was left on 11th February advising that our Delivery Partner team would need to speak with your landlord. Can you confirm whether this has happened please? Thanks - Emily
