Complaint about RIGHTIO

Called them out to repair a potterton back boiler, had to pay a deposit before they would consent to coming out. They turned up following day,whereby the engineer never took the front off fire off, you need to take front of fire off to get at back boiler and thermostats . After one hour he deemed one of the two, if not the two thermostats were u/s. He ordered them with a local company and said ring me when they in and I will come back, Fortunately for myself, I had a visitor the next day and the we discussed my boiler situation, because he is a gas fitter. I consented for him to "have a look". Within 30mins he had diagnosed the problem as being the oxy burner.He cleaned it and lo and behold boiler is working.But he also told me the front fire should not be used as there was a crack in the glass. I was more than willing to pay for this diagnosis but the friend said "have it on me" I paid £142 to RIGHTIO for the wrong diagnosis and the engineer failing to see a crack in the glass ,it would have cost a lot more had we not cancelled the thermostat order.Very unprofessional, and are insistent that without a bill or job report they cannot help,But they keep my money....................Job well done huh????????????
