Complaint about Beds.co.uk

I wish I had found this site reviews before I ordered from this company. I ordered a bed under the impression that it would be delivered within 48 hours. Was then contacted to be told it would take 10 days to be delivered. The bed was due to be delivered and we were given a delivery time of 2-7pm and we made arrangements for someone to be at home all day. The bed was not delivered as arranged and they claimed that they had run the door bell and no once answered. The bed was being delivered to my Nephew who has some learning difficulties however as a family we have supported him to live independently. He became agitated and ended up staying up all night as to not 'miss the delivery'. I had to contact Beds.co.uk in order to re-arrange as the old bed had been disposed off. This was arranged for the a few days later. It was delivered, by one man, to the front door only - as they are not allowed to bring the bed into the house. The reason only one person had delivered it as 'probably' his drivers mate did turn up for work. Having worked in logistics this would be classed as a 2 person job. However I am sure they saved money by sending just one person and claiming that they are not allowed to enter the houses! Once my Nephew finally got the double bed mattress and base into his flat - he was distraught as the base was damaged and did not have the draws (which we had paid extra for). Back on the phone to Beds - who this time insisted that I had to take a picture of the damaged base with the draws before they would arrange to have it picked up - if I wasn't prepared to do that they would charge me and extra £35 to pick it up. They seemed to have totally missed the point that they had delivered the wrong base never mind that it was damaged so they would need collect the it anyway. So after having been promised that the delivery would take place with 2 people and that they would deliver into the flat and collect the old base - I was told today the day of delivery that this was not what was agreed and again the base was delivered today by just a single person and they would not take it into the house. So this time i get a call to tell me the deliver is 20 minutes away - so all appeared to good. I then get a phone call from my very upset mother to tell me that the delivered driver had refused to collect the original base as it was damaged! Eventually he took the base and left the new one - which is as expected. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED - DO FALL FOR THE CHEAP PRICES YOU PAY IN OTHER WAYS
