Complaint about EHIC Direct

I’ve realized that my EHIC card has expired and I will be needing it in a few weeks. Panicking, I’ve searched online to renew my EHIC and I’ve clicked on the first website I’ve found EHIC Direct as it looks professional and official. I’ve completed the form with the details of myself, my husband and my son. I was only planning to apply for myself but then as I get along with the application process it stated that I have to pay the amount of £34.50 for one application. This £34.50 is the new fee whether you are applying as an individual or as a family. In light of the recent Brexit, I thought this may now be applicable and therefore applied not just for me but for my husband and my son too. I’ve informed my husband of this application and he has told me that EHIC is free of charge. My husband is not pleased with my application especially renewing his and my son’s card, as it is not needed yet. After checking the NHS website, I’ve realized that I’ve applied on the website that I would have not chosen to apply for myself. This application has made feel embarrassed to my husband and causes strain to my relationship. If during the application process, it had made clear that the card is still free of charge I would have not completed the application. I WOULD LIKE TO BE REFUNDED THE FEE AND WOULD LIKE TO BE ASSUSRED THAT ALL THE DETAILS OF MYSELF, MY HUSBAND AND MY SON TO BE REMOVED FROM THE EHIC DIRECT’S SYSTEM.

I have received the full refund of £34.50 from the EHIC Direct dated in March after my email to them. Thanks.
