Complaint about BT

I'll shorten this longer story - stay with it. My brother went into a hospice October last year. I have family in Ireland and was constantly ringing on my mobile to update them on my brothers condition. November I received my EE bill that was much higher than usual as you can imagine. I rang EE hoping for a small discount and after a short discussion they removed from the bills all the calls to Ireland (£90) and gave me a further 500 free minutes to Ireland! My brother passed away in December. My husband and I took a holiday in January and whilst we were away a mains water pipe burst on our left - house was saturated and we were instructed to move out for at least 3 months (lucky eh?) I rang Sky as we had a full TV package and phone calls which we couldn't use - they immediately reduced the costs to a bear minimum until we could back in the house - really kind. I then rang BT and asked for our broadband and phone line rental to be reduced whilst we were out of our house - they practically told me to get lost and 'it wasn't something they would offer' terrible phone attitude. I told them to cancel the broadband - I kept the phone line as I want sure if I'd need my phone number. They then charged me £30 to change my agreement. This is a happy/ sad illustration of 3 huge companies.
