Complaint about Currys PC World

After reviewing credit card statements have noticed innocuous Product Support AG £6.50 charge. Very shocked by reviewing my previous statements to see i have made 28 separate payments totalling £182. I have tracked it back to a television purchase in Currys in October 2014. I manage my debit card account well but my credit card i use occasionally for big purchase and direct debit every month to clear the balance. I had no idea recurring monthly charges could be authorised to a credit card. I specifically remember being offered this and saying no, call me risk taker but i have never bought a product warrantee and i know i did not nor would have requested to purchase such an underhand one as this which clearly relies on people 'forgetting' all about it and buries itself as an innocuous charge in your credit card bill. I will be in touch with Currys and KNOWHOW to ask for a tandem document on their part proving i authorised purchase for this. If this is not forthcoming i would support any larger investigation into this process as it appears blatant criminality. I can see from BBC articles and ones on this website there is clear issues with the selling of these product supports. I will not be considering or recommending Currys/PC world or affiliates at any point in the future when looking at my next electrical purchase. Consider this bridge burnt.

proof of contract that I authorised these payments. What on earth does chip and pin mean? Everytime I buy something with this method I'm potentially authorising additional payments from my account? I contest i have been missold this policy and want nothing short of a full refund and an investigation into the process by which these are sold. The number of complainants is staggering.
