Complaint about HomeServe

After a routine visit for a smelly drain last year(not blocked), my premium this year was £368 for plumbing, drainage and water supply pipe cover! This year, what should have been a routine ballcock replacement to stop a dripping overflow turned into a nightmare experience involving Police for extremely unprofessional behaviour and serious damage. Homeserve continually promised phone calls but did nothing until the ombudsman was involved. 3.5 months later, I was paid to repair damage- no return of premium for breach of customer care. A week later, the hot water is cut off upstairs and four days later the plumber floods the loft, bedroom and kitchen while trying to unblock the pipe caused by the previous engineer's visit. I was very concerned about the gallons of water pouring through the light socket but I wasn't entitled to an electrician's check! There were no dehumidifiers available to save my floor coverings either. Over a week later, the room smells dreadful and everywhere is still dripping wet! I was promised a call by customer relations within five days but it hasn't happened. Homeserve just don't care about worry and distress caused by their incompetence.
