Complaint about EHIC Direct

I applied for a EHIC card to be renewed. EHIC direct came up. I thought they were free then was told there was a £35 application fee. I got the cards but have since found they are actually free. I went to my bank and they have taken another £5 out which was not authorised and my bank told me they have set it up as a recurring payment. This is completely misleading as when you type in EHIC their website comes up and you assume this is correct as you would if you typed in a bank name. This needs to be stopped as it is a complete set up especially as this service is completely free and I have lost £40
