Complaint about Domestic & General

Zanussi Cooker ignition on oven stopped working. I contacted Domestic & General. Who arranged an engineer 27th April, Engineer was a jobs worth, told me the ignition was working fine, since he secured some silver packing at the rear of cooker. Was informed by engineer to remove my kitchen rug as it prevented air flow. I removed immediately, despite rug sitting at foot of cooker not underneath. Sad to say cooker did not stay alight, hence unable to use. Contacted Domestic & General again to explain issues & another visit would be arranged. Lady said she would need to speak to the Engineer before arranging another visit. Was informed Engineer would contact me. Engineer claimed he tried to contact me, although left no forwarding contact details????? I was forced to contact Domestic & General again to address issue. New appointment finally arranged 5th May. Domestic & General later cancelled visit of engineer, claimed they didnt have the part for my cooker. It would have to be ordered. New date arranged frid 9th May, I contacted Domestic General, asked what was going on with visit. Was asked to give Model no/Serial No /Product No. Lady said I then needed to tell her where I bought my Zanussi Cooker? I asked was this really neccessary? Domestic & General had all my details on record given ive been insured all this time. Lady said it was neccessary. Lady claimed she was also training another person! Finally received an e mail to inform me the Engineer would be calling bdtween 11-2pm today. 4 hr time slot! Hopefully this Engineer will be able to fit the part required. My experience of Domestic & General, im sad to say is extremely poor. I feel Domestic & General could most definetly improve on there service & improve on the some of the Companies Engineers they do business with. If things dont get sorted today, il certainly be taking my custom elsewhere.
