Complaint about Thomson

Booked Casteldoria Mare in October 2016 as we have always travelled with this company and have been satisfied and always lived up to expectations. However, last week when the first guests arrived at this hotel, there was a refusal to book in and lots of people demanded they got moved as the hotel didnt live up to the brochure or online description. We were concerned about these reports on tripadvisor and the tripadvisor forum, so contacted the pretravel team to ask if we could change accommodation. We made five calls and sent various emails none of which did we receive a reply. The pretravel team said there wasnt a problem and we need to check our terms and conditions. This hotel is definitely not a platium 4 star hotel as advertised. When reviewing the trip advisor forum it seems that people were getting different outcome with either being moved for free to another hotel or offering a different holiday altogether, its so unfair how so many people have been treated differently . I could not put myself travelling all that way to stay in a hostel in the middle of nowhere for a week and cancelled this holiday less than 48 hours before departure. I lost all our money as i was so frsutrated that noone would listen to us. We wIll never book another Thomson holiday again.
