Complaint about Vodafone

Vodafone continues to advise credit agencies that my account with Vodafone is delinquent, despite there never having been an outstanding balance. You have a direct debit to my bank account and so there cannot be and never has been an outstanding balance. I have made online complaints to your customer service on five occasions this year. Each time I have been telephoned by your customer service personnel who have advised that as shown on your website, there is no amount payable. They advise that following “changeover of your account to your new system” a phantom outstanding balance continues to arise, and we cannot see the cause but are working on it”. On each occasion, I have been told the incorrect adverse information given to credit agencies would be corrected. I also wrote to Experian and advised them of Vodafone’s error. Experian contacted Vodafone on 13 May 2017 only to be told by Vodafone "I can confirm there is currently an outstanding balance on the account. Please advise the customer to contact Vodafone Customer Services on 03333 040191 to discuss further and to arrange payment of the outstanding amount. Therefore, we believe the information to be recorded correctly as we are obliged to show a true reflection of the customer’s payment history with Vodafone". Thus, not only have Vodafone failed to correct their error, but have compounded the difficulty you have caused by wrongly confirming to a credit agency that there is an outstanding debt. Vodafone continue to incorrectly report non-payment of my account which is false and misleading and has severely damaged my credit rating, ability to raise finance and harmed my health.
