Complaint about Xercise4Less

I tried cancelling my membership online with the gym and got an automated response saying that this will be done. However i received no further followup email so assumed my membership was cancelled and thus cancelled my direct debit a month or so later. I am now being hounded by a company called CRS for hundreds of pounds as they say that i have not cancelled my membership. Trying to speak to someone to resolve this is neigh on impossible
