Complaint about EHIC Direct

I was charged by EHIC direct for a service that is free on the NHS. As it is the first first website to come up on a search engine, it was the first website that I clicked on. I used an iPad to complete this service, therefore I did not see the disclaimer that was put on the website. On the website the disclaimer stating non - affiliation with the NHS or Department of Health was made purposefully discreet on the side so that applicants would not see it. Any charges taken are ineligible for a refund 14 hours after making an application.

Dear Monua Qureshi, Thank you for your message. We do not charge for the free card. Our fee is to check and process the application with the NHS, we also send out email and sms renewal alerts before your cards are due to expire.
