Complaint about Argos

Once I bought a baby carrier from Argos but when came home realised its small for the baby.Unfortunately lost receipt.Went there after a week as was busy at work.The lady on till said its now on sale so she would refund in the form of gift card 16£ instead of 20£ or I should call customer service.She was quite rude so I realised useless to discuss it further and said ok as don't want to call customer service ,thought it would be a wastage of time and bear the loss of 4£ .But at home when I searched for the same carrier in Argos on sale ,it was of 17£.. Look at dishonesty of her.She gave me 16£ card back instead of 17£ I have lost trust in Argos and would never ever buy anything from them as even my friends told me once sold they don't want to refund and are not helping at all.
