Complaint about Xercise4Less

I called into my Xercise4less gym late February to cancel my membership, I handed in a letter containing my cancellation details. I was told by the guy at reception he would deal with this for me. Still in April '17 they were collecting money via my bank, so I cancelled the monthly subscription, I am now being chased for money and additional costs are being added. I have spoken with god knows how many peopl, bring passed from pillar too post. I have contacted the general manager at Fishponds in Bristol and he says I cannot cancel my membership in the way that i did, and was told by a member of his staff they would deal with it for me. I been told it needs to be cancelled online, I cannot get into their web site to do this, it won't allow me. I am now being threatened with more costs and a debt collection agency will be chasing me. I fine this organisation totally unprofessional in trying to help people out and would not recommend them to anyone. I just want to close my membership down, but this seems mission impossible.
