Charged for damage already on the car

Complaint about Goldcar

On collection of the car - it was very damaged and I checked carefully the sheet given from the desk. They told me to check the car and if there were any other damage to report it to the office in the carpark. There was additional damage which I marked on the sheet and spoke to the office. The lady said if it was less than 5cm do not worry. I said it was more than that and would she come and have a look. She said not to worry - signed and stamped my sheet. On the return I had to place the keys in the box. I checked my credit card online - to see that 320 euro's had been taken off for damages. I immediately called customer services. I eventually managed to speak to a lady that informed me it was damage to a door. I explained I had photo's of the damage and that I had advised them of that on collection. She told me to send an email with the photo's and I would hear back. I am still waiting - almost 2 weeks after the initial contact. I call every few days to be told that it is a different department - they are busy and will get back to me. I ask to speak to some one in authority - to be told that there is no one!! I asked for a number to call the department - to be told they only deal with emails - they are not contactable by phone. As yet I am still waiting to hear. I cannot believe that they are so quick to take the money from my account without advising me - so someone has checked the car - but not been able to report it to me. On that I was told they did not have my email address to let me know. In fact I booked through them directly and have emails from them - so more lies.

If you read my complaint you would understand I cannot get response from anyone. Your answer is just a standard clause!!! You should look at yourselves - as I have now seen so many complaints about your company and advise not to use them again. How do you think that makes me feel!!
