Complaint about easyJet

Arrived at Gatwick 4.10 on 17/05/17 for 5.55 flight to Corfu. Boarding pass was rejected by auto baggage machine. Advised by young man we were too late, we said no flight is 5.55. He replied it was changed to 4.55 as French Air Control on strike and we had been advised by e mail. When we finally got to the front of the long Easy Jet queue we were offered a flight for Sat 20/5/17 from Luton which was not acceptable as we would have lost at least 3 days accommation, and car hire not to mention holiday!! Whilst standing in the queue it transpired that it was Greek Air Traffic Control were on strike not French and that NO ONE had received a text or email so consequently they too had missed the flight. We did manage to get a flight the following day from Heathrow but at a cost about £1000 between both of us including transport to Heathrow, overnight accommodation loss of 1 night accommodation and car hire in Corfu. My friend who made the booking has contact Easy Jet but all she gets is "stock" letters which cover delayed and cancelled flights but there doesn't seem to be a contingency for flights being sent early.
