Horrible company to deal with

Complaint about Economy Energy

When I signed up in December 2016 I was promised two things: cheaper energy and a smart meter in three months. Sounds simple enough but the company managed to break both promises. They randomly switched my electricity tariff without my consent and I'm now paying double what I used to... I'm not exaggerating - I used to pay £35 a month and now I'm paying £60 on a prepayment meter. As for the smart meter, they said I would get a phone call from an engineer to arrange the installation within three months of joining. It's July and I've had no phone call despite contacting Customer Service three times. Customer service couldn't change my tariff back either. And their complaints procedure is supposed to take 10 days but I'm still waiting on a reply 3 weeks later. I also have never gotten a paper or email bill or any kind of correspondence apart from the welcome pack. In my opinion, this company should be avoided at all cost - the only good thing about them in my opinion is that they don't hold you to any kind of contract term so you can theoretically leave any time you like.
